in the beginning, there was just an idea.
a place to put things.
the house is where the model is made.
there were notepads and regional rail,
analog and early digital synthesizers,
roland drum machines and sequencers,
pedals and a reel-to-reel machine,
then more ideas on currents
from western and eastern philosophy,
used dental chair parts,
and wherever else they come from.

the model productions
markie went on to develop the model productions (t.m.p.) with friends and fellow students in 1998, and they self-published a manifesto. out of this tumbled a series of semi-annual philosophic-kraut-pop parties in Philadelphia warehouses and elsewhere over the next few years. these performances became more and more elaborate over time, and were facilitated by many artists, designers, photographers, poets and actors. the productions offered an experiential architecture into which were woven into loose narratives, flashing lights and pulsating beats, drones and video and telegraphic speech punctuated by nonsense and other surprises.

experiential parties in and around Philadelphia.
after a little more time,
th model gave its last performance overseas,
