markie | creative director

markie is a musician, audiovisual artist, writer, and producer living halfway between Philadelphia and New York City. They have been making electronic music since 1997, pursuing a variety of projects under the heading of House Of The Model (markiemodel, the model, th model, the model productions). markie has also worked outside of the House, for instance, with Class Actress (over 35 million streams on Spotify; Pitchfork Reviews here and here; songs licensed for visual media including television episodes of Gossip Girl, Barry, Cheer as well as several films and advertisements). They recently completed production on a community-based song with Chad Price for the nonprofit collective Greater We, had some of their electronic musical work placed in a new film written and directed by Michael Mailer (son of the late Norman Mailer), and finished up a new album for Juliet.
